A 20-Meter Natural Pool at the Heart of the Estate in Varen

Glamping Le Camp, set on 2 hectares in the Gorges de l’Aveyron, offers its guests a 20-meter-long natural pool with depths ranging from 1.20 m to 2 m, complemented by a secured paddling pool for the little ones. This pool stands out with its eco-friendly filtration system based on natural lagooning. The water is purified with no chemicals thanks to a living ecosystem composed of gravel, specific aquatic plants, and flowing water.

This plant-based filtration encourages local biodiversity by welcoming butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, and tadpoles, providing bathers with a gentle and authentic immersion in nature. Sun loungers and deck chairs set on a grassy beach invite relaxation in a lush, peaceful setting just a few meters from the seven canvas lodges of the estate.

The pool is accessible from May to September, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and access is included in the price of the stay. This ecological swimming experience fully reflects Le Camp’s slow tourism philosophy, which prioritizes respect for the environment and visitors’ wellbeing.

Who Is This New Feature For?

The natural pool at Le Camp primarily targets families with children, couples, and groups of friends looking for a different swimming experience, closer to nature and environmentally respectful. Children up to 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult to ensure their safety. Babies can also enjoy the paddling pool, provided they wear special swim diapers.

Dog owners will appreciate that their companions have access to a shaded area reserved near the pool, as animals are not allowed in the water to protect the basin’s fragile ecosystem. Swimmers are asked to respect specific rules, including the prohibition of sunscreen in the pool to safeguard aquatic flora and fauna, while hats and protective clothing are permitted.

This natural pool is ideal for slow tourism enthusiasts who want to combine comfort, full immersion in nature, and ecological respect, while enjoying the services and friendly atmosphere of the glamping.
